Working with private clients to extend or upgrade their homes can be a uniquely rewarding experience. Mellow Close, Banstead, Surrey

This particularly attractive 1930s built detached house had already been extended at the western end. Our two-storey east end extension enabled us to rearrange some of the existing ground floor accommodation to provide a new enlarged kitchen/breakfast room with views over the garden, new utility room, dining room, workshop and garage. At first floor level the project provided new guest accommodation comprising large double bedroom and en-suite shower room.

Pine Cottage, Epsom Downs, Surrey

A single storey rear extension to this appealing cottage provided a spacious new kitchen/breakfast room plus utility room and cloakroom. The extension featured a vaulted ceiling incorporating rooflights to achieve a light and airy living space. Within the existing building the dining room was refurbished and the existing kitchen was converted to a study. Externally a large terrace with access from the new extension and the existing living room completed the project.

Tower Road, Tadworth, Surrey

Our clients were looking to provide additional guest accommodation for when their grandchildren visited and space for an office giving convenience with privacy for home-based working. These requirements were achieved by converting the existing loft space to provide a twin-bedded room with en-suite facilities and the construction of a detached single storey office within the rear garden. Other works undertaken as part of the project included a new detached garage, renewal of heating and electrical services and external hard and soft landscaping.

Ridgway Place, Wimbledon, London

This elegant Victorian property lies within the Wimbledon Village conservation area. The proposal, for which planning consent has now been secured, comprises a three storey extension to the west side and single storey extensions to the rear and east sides together with extensive internal rearrangement and refurbishment. These works will provide a range of additional accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, utility and storage space and an artist's studio.

Lexham Gardens, Kensington, London

Lexham Gardens is an example of the classic Kensington street scene with terraces of seven-storey stucco rendered houses behind ornate railings. The work to this property included a roof level extension to the top floor flat to provide an additional bedroom, for which planning consent was secured, together with refurbishment of a further bedroom and bathroom, roof renewal and decoration of the external elevations.
